I think that I'll be visiting the Denver/front range area sometime in the early Fall; via the southern tier of Nebraska (aka. US 6/35 through Hastings, Holdrege, McCook) If anyone who knows me might be interested in riding along let me know.
I've never bought into the idea that mountains are inherently more scenic than flatlands. It's the contrast of one against the other that's the thing. With flatlands close by that you can quickly return to so that you don't have to eat each other.
Oh, and there's high-grade drugs too. But I'm old and that's incidental.
