If private couples, (or triples or octuples) wish to formalize their own relationships, through means of either their own invention or traditional religious ones, then alright. I'm happy if people are happy. But fuck State marriage. Legal marriage is a most asinine sexist, superstitious, and anachronistic act of snake-dancing hoodoo and that's all it's ever going to be at root no matter how much society might change for the better overall.
